This is the main station for metro with three line Red, Green, and Blue. Under the blue line there is another train called Commuter train. Central railway station and Bus terminal are connected with it.

the artwork in this metro station was amazing! worth visit although the metro in Stockholm is expansive (around 4,40 euros the single ticket). I would recommend taking the metro once and stopping in all the stations to appreciate the arrwork of this metro system! Was the only reason why we took the metro in Stockholm, just to see all this art, as all the places in the city can be reach by foot.

The best part of my trip to Stockholm was the subway stations that I found there and specially the beautifully painted and designed structure of this place was amazing. From here you can find connecting trains to almost every part of the city, even to the airport with each 10mins interval of time. Trains are so neat and clean and the overall structure is just mind blowing.

Clean trains, on time, few delayed services. true. Visual guidance sucks. Good for locals, terrible for others. Poor signage. Few station signs. Despite they clear to read too few underground’s maps on platforms. Transparent maps in the entrance to the tube, where people mostly gather. To check it one must leave the seat, or stand at the doors making it even more crowded and difficult to board the train. T-centralen is a nightmare to interchange. Or maybe it’s just my expectation of design capital of Scandinavia.

It sounds a little weird, but the subway was my favorite part of Stockholm. There were a lot of stations that were painted with gorgeous art. We spent our last afternoon doing a self guided subway art tour. We probably went to 5-7 different stops to look at the art and it was better than art museum in my opinion. Google will provide you with plenty of stops that have art at them. Other than the art, the subway system is pretty extensive and a very easy way to get around the city. We used it as our main mode of transportation mixed a little bit with the tram and buses
