  I tried to contact their Education Department about the Teaching program almost 3 months ago and no one called me back. I called in Swedish and English, and both times I was never given a return call. I finally went up to the university, made an appointment to speak with a studievägledare, and I met with her the following Thursday. She asked me about my background, and my degree, and then told me how long the teaching program was going to take. She said I would have to start my education all over again, and I told her that wouldn't be possible. She then asked me if I had uploaded any documents to their computer system, which I thought I had, and nothing was displayed on the screen. She became very vehement with me, and glared at me so angrily. I've never had anyone look at me so angrily in my life, especially when I was just trying to get some general counseling. We had our whole conversation in Swedish, and she didn't even show me the door when we were done talking. She was rude and treated me like an idiot because I didn't understand the documentation loading system for the LiU website. As an American candidate, I do not recommend this university. They were rude on many occasions to me and there was no reason to be. If you want to have students from other countries come to your school, you need to be more willing and open minded that we have different documentation systems than the EU, and don't treat people like they're incompetent.

  Nice lovely place to study/research... Very helpful administration/international students office staff. A good choice for Exchange/Erasmus students.

  Linköping University has a big campus with some restaurants and coffee shops to choose from. I'm particularly a fan of the Zodiaken noodle-bar who offers a great Thai Asian noodle-bowl. There is also a small park with great surface to relax.

  I have studied here for two years and loved every single moment. Linköping university has a nice atmosphere, new and modern buildings, welcoming staff and is highly ranked among universities of Sweden. The city is also very beautiful.

  One of the largest universities in Sweden. Practical campus slightly outside city which enables biking, bus, car in a convenient way.
