I was going to give this hostel a proper review but unfortunately I cannot. The dorm doors say laundry is 11pm-2am. I showed up to the desk to do my laundry st 10:30. Wait for 10 minutes for the desk to acknowledge me then I cannot use the laundry because it's actually 5pm till 11pm they changed the policy but didn't share with guest. So I return the next day at 5pm to do my laundry. Pay 50sek and I have my own detergent. Go to the laundry room get told by the staff there its 6pm. Taken back to the front and now told by the same staff lady's yesterday it's now 6pm. Considering I am In stockholm 2 nights and have been trying to do laundry multiple times and failed due to their problems the least they could do is let me use the service for free as an apology and then I wouldn't have to leave a 1 star review and could talk about the hostel instead of the outdated rules and lack of knowledge of the staff

When I tried to book a hostel in Stockholm, Interhostel was the only one still having rooms available. After 3 nights staying there, I understand why... this hostel is by far, the worse I've ever been to. All what maters to them is making profit, they rent long term rooms with TV on as if they were random flats. This is not a spot for travelers anymore just an accommodation. There is no sharing cozy room you can relax and chat with others because they put rooms in every corners to have a maximum of people to fit into them. The amount of room is crazy, makes you fill like you are in a boarding militar school with CCTV camera operating and sign saying" we are watching you thief" in the fridge or "keep your door closed and locked" in the room. You have to pay an extra cost for your sheets, there is no breakfast in the morning. At the reception they don't bother welcoming you, just ask for you to pay straitgh away and add a deposit they don't say hi in the morning either as you're just one of the many renting beds they can't keep the count and being nice doesn't seem to be the house policy. I wouldn't recommend this place for nothing.

Cheap place, well located. But the place is old and dark and there are too many people in it. The room with 10 people is very tiny. Bathrooms are not very well cleaned. The receptionists are never in the reception, so you need to wait for them.

Cheap, super great location, friendly multilingual staff. BUT crowded kitchen, uncomfortable common areas, poorly cleaned rooms and everything is chargeable (bed linen, towels, even a printout - 20 krones a sheet ). May be a good choice for the backpackers travelling at the cheapest rates possible.

Out of the hostels I have stayed in, for the price, this isn't that bad. The welcome was okay for 2am and the guy was friendly enough. Left to my own devices to sort stuff out in the morning. Showers and toilets are kept clean and tidy, shower pressure is good and the heat is quite instant. Beds are passable for comfort, I was in an 8 bed place and the guy snoring can't be blamed on the hostel! The general location was good for getting around Stockholm as everything was in walking distance. You get your own plug and locker included but be warned that it can get a little nippy in the dead of night.
