The Grand Hotel does not need to call out it's Grandeur with an adjective as everything it is, and its staff does lives up to the name. The experience is luxury from the first and does not disappoint. The staff, like many in Sweden, speak English better than native speakers and make the interactions effortless and pleasant. The rooms are well accommodated and prepared with subtle touches such as cards wishing guests a good night with thoughtful quotations. The hotel was being renovated while my wife and I stayed there so I cannot opine on all of the hotel's beauty, but certainly those areas which were open were incredible, beautiful, and historic.

The best hotel in Stockholm, hands down. If money isn't an issue, this is the place to stay. Also a great option for drinks and foid, especially in the summer when they have a large outdoor lounge area with table service.

Great afternoon tea. I loved the scones and homemade jelly. The other items was ok but not good as the price indicates. Lovely view over the royal castle. Stiff upper lips on the guests but what can you expect? Lovely service!

The Grand Hôtel's Smorgasbord had been strongly recommended by a Swedish friend, if we were ever to visit Stockholm. During a weekend break in March 2018, we booked in for a 3 hour food sensation. There are about 55 individual courses, categorised in themes such as cold cuts, pickled herring, salads, meatballs and such, accompanied by local beer, aquavit and a range of desserts. Tremendous quality, plus the staff were v friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend adding the experience to your Stockholm itinerary.

Good service, magnificant location, amazing room, however missing amenities such as coffee machine, shaving kits, etc. Bath was great - massive. The furniture of the room had a little wear and tare, which lowered the overall feel. We ordered some ice to the room and this took 20 minutes - we also went down to ask for a knife and fork and got a very weird look from the staff down in the bar? The first we ask, had to go and get her manger to put this through him, so we could get these. The spa was great - possibly the highlight of the hotel.
