A collection of buildings to showcase what Linkoping used to look like in the past, including a Science Centre and shops selling "antiques" and handicraft.

A great place if you want a slice of the past. Old architecture, live action performers wearing period accurate clothing, to help sell the experience. An open air theatre performs child-friendly plays, and there is a science centre where you can explore basic (but fundamental!) concepts or demonstrations of science. Gamla Linköping also connects to Valla, a location even more fit for experiencing how it looked around Linköping, back in the past. Last but not least, there is a small outlet store for one of Sweden's primary candy manufacturers, Cloetta in there. All in all, there is plenty to experience at Gamla Linköping and Valla.

It's an amazing place which is a window to history of the region. Many of the old architecture and buildings are recreated here for learning history. Some even are actual buildings relocated here to preserve a slice of the past. You can find that many of points have people dressed in the clothing of the time and will be happy to guide you about the place After closing time the place can still be explored from outside and open areas. There is also a place to buy memento from the past era here where you could also enjoy a bit of coffee. A highly recommended place for any traveler/tourist to the city. Review from a foreigner visiting this beautiful city.
