  Beautiful hotel in wonderful location with excellent, friendly staff. But good luck if you’re stuck staying in the servants quarters they call double rooms- 2 single beds in a tiny room (even by Stockholm standards) one of which is a 3” Ikea mattress on a daybed (tall people beware). We ended up staying the night out of principle after spending so much money on the room but seriously considered leaving to stay anywhere else. Would only recommend if you are guaranteed one of the full size rooms.

  12May18 Four and a half stars Freys is not your usual expansive and bland American Hilton hotel style place. Its slightly serious young women at its rather serious reception desk don't give any clue to the riotously individualistic small room sizes packed with everything you need and heart warming decoration like a teddy bear you are invited to name or a kitschy arty horse head sticking out of wall near the window. Did I put you off? Don't be. You'll love the comfortable, firm, beds, good bathroom and quiet location. We opened our thick double glazed windows at night to let in the cool night air. Downstairs on the ground floor the restaurant makes great food served by smiling and personable staff. There are outside tables which on the cobble stone footpath can be quieter than inside tables. On the wine list my wife found a favourite Kiwi wine to accompany dinner. The breakfast is top class for freshness, quantity, and quality with a big range of cooked savouries, greens, juices, cereals yada yada. In downtown Stockholm Freys is a fast 25 minutes Uber or taxi ride from the intentional airport. Close to everywhere for walking, cycling and sightseeing Freys might look as if it is located down a narrow inaccessible street but taxi drivers have no problem driving to the Freys hotel drop-off point which is only five meters from the front door. I'd rather get out of the car at the drop-off point than unload my suitcase while standing on the nearby main road. Very nice and safe.

  Nice hotel. Good location. Friendly staff. Just across the street from the train station which has direct service to and from Arlanda airport. Plenty of shops and eateries nearby.

  Great location, though a little hidden in an alley. The room we rented was inexpensive and in excellent condition upon arrival, also the employees have been very sweet and helpful to us. I'd definitely consider staying there again the next time I'm in Stockholm.

  Excellent hotel. Rooms are small but you should know that when you book here already. Small but very comfortable. I had a single bed in the efficiency room but it was exceptionally comfortable. Love the old time style. And the location can't be beat right by the central station. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Only negatives were my room was a bit drafty in the winter time and the eggs at breakfast weren't very good. Would stay here again tho especially in the warmer months.
