::Perfect for shorter stays where you only use the room for sleeping. Check in and out is very fast and easy, and the staff is very friendly. Breakfast was a bit lacking, which is why I only give 4 stars.

::Standard Single Room was so tiny I would ban this from being called a hotel "room". This was probably smaller than what prisoners get in this country. With 2mx4m size which includes the "bathroom" this is probably the smallest room I've been to. The ridiculous price only adds to this. 120 GBP/night is crazy considering what you get for it. The tiny room had no ventillation system meaning spending a night in there with closed windows is impossible without suffocating. Opening the window adds considerable noise which leads to a bad sleep. The window also opened inwards so if you wanted to open it you had to forfeit some of the bed space which made sleeping for two people very uncomfortable. The lack of view also adds to the prison feeling. Lack of a fridge means that you can't buy and store anything in the room for a dinner etc. that would require it forcing you to go to a restaurant etc. Breakfast, staff and free amenities (eg. bike rental) were great, but that should be the baseline.

::Thus Comfort Hotel was my home away from home in Malmö for a great many years, but on this stay the room disappointed. The room was tiny and badly maintained, while there were plenty of power outlets near the desk area, none worked. My room was in some need of better maintenance and that‘s rather sad for a hotel costing €130 / night. What is good about this hotel is location, right across the street from the central railway station. What sets this hotel apart is the wonderful staff, who make you smile. Breakfast has a decent selection of good quality items- yet I cannot help but give them only 3 of 5 stars.

::It's been my second time to this hotel. The first time I had a pretty nice modern room with a more spacious bathroom, but unfortunately the window of the room showed to the inner hall of the hotel instead of going outside. So this time asked for a room with a 'real window', as I always sleep with an open window. The staff is really friendly and helpful, and my room had a window at the side of the building. To make it easier to get an overview I will now make a list of the pros and cons: PRO: - Nice and friendly staff - Modern spacious location, I love that they use music equipment for furniture - really good breakfast with everything you need, both sweet and savoury - great fitness room with a boxing ring - a parking space right behind the hotel - close to the city centre - close to the main station CON: - The rooms seem to be either spacious without a proper window or really really small - there was no space to open my suitcase, the room was too smal for that - the bathroom reminded me of the ones on the ferries going from Kiel to Oslo, both in size and style - after a shower the whole bathroom floor is soaking wet as there is no bathmat and the door of the shower doesn't close to the floor. - both times I stayed here there was at least one car on the hotel parking lots that was broken into, luckily not mine, but they could provide a better security there. So if you are looking for a stylish hotel, don't forget to ask for one of the bigger rooms ;)

::One of the best budget hotels in Malmö is the Comfort hotel located just behind the train station and only a 10 minute walk from the centre of town. The hotel is nice and modern with a great glazed atrium and a good lobby area with a good selection of seats for most purposes. Breakfast is served in the atrium on the lobby level, it is a continental breakfast with some hot food. The rooms are big and well designed with good sized bathrooms and a nice working area. There is also a large gym with a great selection of machines and equipment as well as a full size boxing ring! The room that houses the gym is an old dining room with a high ceiling and ceiling paintings which will keep you entertained whilst working out. Overall a great modern budget hotel at a central location.
