  Smoking killed it for me. They allow smoking in the courtyard which might as well be inside since my room's only windows were into the courtyard. I also didn't like many of the spaces being in the basement - dreary. On the good side, the location is in a nicer area and very close to the Central station...6 min walk to Arlanda Express. Nice park across the street. Nice to have a kitchen. My all women's room for 6 was actually divided in two and had it's own shower, washing machine and kitchen. But the shared toilets were across the outdoor courtyard. Not a problem in summer, but I can't imagine other seasons. It was clean.

  We thoroughly enjoyed our time at City Backpackers. It is extremely close to the metro/train/bus but enough out of the way that it isn’t a distraction. The lobby is cozy and the private showers are some of the best I’ve seen available at a hostel. I certainly recommend staying here.

  Very secure as the security code changes everyday. I like the take off your shoe policy. Very chilled. They do a bike tour which takes you around Stockholm. A little further away from the old town but close to the high street. Free coffee, tea & water after 11am (breakfast). Reception is 24hrs but check-in is not. Was able to check-in the next morning. Staff are super friendly and great to chat with. Cool place to lounge around and chill. Discounts at the Nomad restaurant next door. Love how the place is like a maze as you walk through underground. Free pasta is awesome. There is a fridge for each room but still doesn't stop people from stealing your food.. The room itself had a humming noise from the ventilation making it very hard to sleep. Plenty of WC and Showers. There are lockers inside and outside the rooms. I prefer the outside lockers as you can freely make plenty of noise when shuffling around in your bags.

  This hostel was a great stay at a reasonable price. All members of the staff were super nice and extremely helpful. The place is clean and there is plenty of spaces to hang out and meet fellow travelers. The hostel is centrally located and within walking distance of most of the places a backpacker might want to visit (I walked everywhere). I also participated in the free walking tour which takes place on Thursdays at 10AM. The guide is a local who is involved in theater. He provided great information and tips about what to check out as well as what to avoid. If I’m ever back in Stockholm I will definitely try to stay here again, and I recommend that you do as well.

  As far as hostels go, this place is a good. Very clean and very friendly and helpful staff. They are happy to answer any questions and offer great advice about where to go. Like most hostels, it can be tough to get a restroom during the busy times, like in the morning and before bed. Never had to wait for a shower but we showered in the afternoon, which I recommend, the mornings can get busy. Beds were decent, I wish the rooms had more shelves. They do have 1 washer and 1 dryer, they’re old and the dryer doesn’t quite get the clothes completely dry, but it was free so no complaints. Can’t beat the location, it’s right downtown! All around this is a great affordable option in a city that is notoriously expensive.
